What is Gettou?
Gettou (shell ginger) is a herb that grows up to 2-3 meters in height even in harsh soil with strong UV radiation. Large and lush green leaves have antiseptic and antibacterial effects. In Okinawa, Japan, they have been used for wrapping foods and insect repellent. It grows in the strong sunlight and the sea breeze has a strong antioxidant effect. Gettou herb water and essential oil are gathering attention for their anti-aging effect. It has been proven that the plant contains an extremely high reactive oxygen removal effect from the research of Ryukyu University.
